Points to be considered before opting a BSNL/MTNL VRS Scheme

The Government of India trying hard to implement the voluntary retirement scheme for the employees of the Telecom Companies BSNL and MTNL.

The Department of Telecommunications has also issued broad guidelines for the same.




The employee who already attained the age of 50 years may be busy calculating the BSNL Ex-Gratia after VRS. But there are a few points they need to consider before taking a final call.

Suppose an employee is of 58 years of age and he/she willing to take the benefit of the voluntary retirement scheme. On opting for VRS, he/she will lose the two increments.

Based on remaining years of service, basic pay, and current IDA rates the loss of monthly Pension salary may be calculated on opting of voluntary retirement scheme.
