PSPCL Salary Structure
The Punjab State is running one Pay Commission behind the central CPC. The state government had announced the 5th Pay Commission from 1st January 2006.
The 6th CPC not yet implemented for the government employee and staff across the state.
Accounts Officer is a Group A cadre post. The Pay band for the PSPCL AO position is 16,650 – 39,100/- with Grade Pay of 5,800/-.To get the detailed salary, you can refer the following table in this blogpost.
The young professional appointed on the level will have to hold an administrative work profile. They need to manage the sub-ordinate staff, distribution of job among juniors and submitting the progress report to senior officers.
Revenue Accountant (RA) and Superintendent Divisional Accounts (SDA) are also class -I rank the equivalent level. The Pay Band and salary structure for both of these positions are the same in all respect. The work will differ due to the internal division of sections.
Revenue accountant (RA) will manage the activity collections received by PSPCL. He/she will be responsible for keeping the daily record of earning under his/her jurisdiction.
Superintendent Divisional Accounts (SDA) will manage and coordinate the accounting activity in the district area of the Punjab State Electricity Board.

Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) and Internal Auditor will get appointed in the Pay Band of 10,900 – 34,800/- with Grade Pay 5,350/- as per the 5th Pay Commission structure. The entry pay for both posts is 16,250/-.
Apart from this, they also receive the DA, HRA, village duty allowances, and CCA as per the rate decided after the 5th CPC.
PSPCL Junior Engineer Electrical is the backbone of the company. They handle all day to day operations and maintenance activities.
JE Electrical manages the new installation of supply lines, scheduled maintenance of equipment, and coordinates with line staff and AE’s for fault rectification.
An Internal Auditor needs to check all the operational and administrative expenses under their work profile. They also inspect the material, store inventory, assets, and vendor invoices.
The Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Steno-Typist, and Electrician Grade-II are same level positions in the PSPCL. All these employees get a call letter to work in the Pay Scale of 6,400 – 20,200/- with corresponding Grade Pay 3,400/-.
The LDC is having the responsibility of managing the cash/cheque counter, file tagging & numbering, record maintenance, etc.
Lower Divisional Clerk job may vary due to the internal posting department.
Steno-Typist does the typing jobs in the PSPCL. His/her main work is to draft the letter, as suggested by the superiors.
Electrician Grade-II is a Group C cadre post. They are responsible for the scheduled and preventive maintenance of electric supply lines and equipment. They report to Junior Engineer or directly to AE, depending upon the strength of the section.
