Nearly 3 Lakhs Staff of PSUs are waiting for the 3rd Pay Revision which is due from 01 January 2017

There are only a few big PSUs left which have not implemented the 2rd Pay Revision Committee recommendations for the employees. Among them, BSNL, SAIL, MTNL, Vizag Steel are the main with which were awarded by prestigious status due to high performance in their respective sectors.

All these 4 PSUs have a total employee base of 2,92,487 as per various reports available on the internet. You can check here employee strength and status of above said CPSE in the following table.

Many Engineering Graduates, MBA Professional, Diploma Engineers, and ITI certificate holders have joined these organizations in the last decade with a high hope due to the government awarded status (Maharatna/Navratna/Miniratna). But these CPSEs are not in a position to implement the 3rd PRC for the employees due to strict mandatory guidelines by the Government of India.

Vizag Steel and SAIL are financially doing well.

Government is actively considering the revival BSNL and MTNL.

So we can assume that in the future, these PSUs would be able to revise the pay scale of the employees.

The fitment benefit in the salary will be 5% or 10% or 15%. It will depend on the financial performance of individual PSU.

In the following form, you can enter the actual basic pay in December 2016. The calculator will provide the revised basic pay as on 1st January 2017 as an output.

Now you may know the approximate revised basic pay as on 01 January 2017.

To know your present basic pay after revision, you have to add all the increments from January 2019. Also to get the full salary you have to add the IDA Rates as per 3rd PRC.
