Tehsildar is yet another indispensable position in the state level public administration. To become a Tehsildar, one must possess a graduation degree and s/he has to pass the three-tier recruitment exam organized by the UP Public Service Commission.

UP Naib Tehsildar Salary & Pay Scale

By passing the UPPSC exam, a graduate can become the Naib Tehsildar (NT) in the pre-revised pay band of 9,300 - 34,800 with grade pay 4,800.

The revised basic pay from 1st January 2016 for the NT position is 47,600 per month.

After a promotion, an NT Group-B officer can become a Tehsildar in the pay band of 15,600 - 39,100 with Grade pay 5,400. After the 7th CPC report UP Tehsildar revised basic pay is now 56,100.
