Power Grid Corporation Of India Limited issues the recruitment advertisement for the Diploma Trainee or Junior Engineer on regional office requirement basis.

Recently I got to know about the Easter region system-II Diploma Trainee, HR Officer, and Technician recruitment through open market to work in the Navratna Power Transmission Company.

Diploma Trainee Selection Procedure

Power Grid Diploma Trainee selection is a single Tier written examination basis whereas those who are applying for the Junior Officer (HR) & Technician Trainee, have to go through Two tier selection process.

The details of the tests are shown here;

Points to remember

  • All question carry equal marks.
  • There is a Negative Marking of 1/4th for each wrong answer.

There are a minimum qualifying marks criteria for each post whose details are shown in tabular form;

Final Selection

Diploma Trainee

Diploma Trainee selection depends on the individual performance in the Computer Based Test, a category wise merit list will be prepared for candidates and they will be called for document verification and medical test. Thereafter he/she will be deputed as Diploma Trainee for the one year and after completion of training, they will be appointed as Junior Engineer.

Jr Officer Trainee (HR)

To get selected for Junior HR in Power Grid, one has to appear in the skill test on the computer which will be qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in the Computer-based written test. The document verification, medical and training period will be same like Jr Engineer post.

Jr Technician Trainee

In order to become a Junior Technician in PGCIL, the candidates have to appear in the Trade Test which is qualifying in nature only. This trade test will include a tower climbing task. Other things will remain the same as like Diploma Trainee recruitment.
