Not long ago, The Odisha Public service commission had issued advertisement for the Civil and administrative post through Civil Service examination by which candidate can get the job the Group A & Group B services in the under Odisha Government.

Now the OPSC come up with 500 Assistant Section Officer Class-II posts under the Home department of Odisha. Those who find the tough to crack the OPSC civil service examination, they have the most suitable alternative for the job now.

OPSC ASO Selection Procedure

The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria, they need to appear for following the two-tier selection process.

  1. Written Examination (Objective Type)
  2. Skill Test in Computer (Practical)

OPSC SAO Written Exam Pattern

The written examination will have three separate papers General Studies, Aptitude & Reasoning, and language (Odia & English). The tentative date for the written examination is 23.12.2018. The details of the individual subjects and marks are shown here

Important points to remember about the test

OPSC Assitant Section Officer Written test will have Objective type multiple, the candidate must remember the below listed important points before appearing in the exam;

  • Each Question will carry 1 Mark
  • The penalty for each wrong Answer will be 0.25 Mark

Skill Test in Computer

Those who clear the OPSC Assistant Section Officer test, get chance to appear in the practical skill test on the computer knowledge. This will be qualifying in nature and candidate must secure minimum 40% marks to get selected in the skill test examination. Those who fail to score the 40% marks, will be rejected from the recruitment process.

Final merit list will be based on OPSC written examination marks, hence candidates need to provide special attention to it and try to score more to get the Gazetted officer post under the Government of Odisha.
