The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has notified the 1477 Vacancy for the young diploma engineers with disciplines of Automobile, Agriculture, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Agriculture, Chemical, & Printing Technology etc. The eligible candidate can apply through UPSSSC official website and thereafter they get the information about the examination schedule as well as the pattern.
So those who are already working in the other government departments or public sector undertakings or in a private company in same or other states. And want to compare the salary with the Sub Engineer (Avar Abhiyanta) post in UP before applying for the job.
UPSSSC Sub Engineer Salary after 7th CPC
The Diploma Engineers who get selected for the post will be appointed as a Sub Engineer or Avar Abhiyanta in the various departments depending upon their rank.
As per the official Notification, the newly appointed Diploma Engineers will be placed in the 6th CPC pay band of 9,300 -34,800 with Grade Pay 4,200.
As the Uttar Pradesh Government has implemented the 7th Pay Commission guidelines for the State Government Employees from the 01.01.2016. Hence the salary or pay scale of the Sub Engineer post also get revised and the revised pay for the job is 35,400. So a newly appointed Sub Engineer in the Uttar Pradesh will get the starting basic pay of 35,400 from the direct appointment in the service.

So the monthly gross salary in hand for the post of Sub Engineer will be Rs 49,400/- This pay is without any deductions like income tax, PF, HRA etc. This salary may vary from a city to other due to variation in the HRA rates.

The Sub Engineer is a supervisory post which is also known as Junior Engineer in many Indian states. The post comes under the Group C or Class-III non-executive cadre.
The job attached to the post is supervisory in nature and he/she has to go and monitor the projects assigned to him and report the seniors about the daily progress. The project may be any kind say for example construction of Road, or Building or School or any other depending upon the nature of the department.
