To become a Forest Ranger in Madhya Pradesh, one has to appear in the state forest service examination which is being coordinated by the MPPSC.

The successful candidate who clear all the levels of competitive examination, they get the opportunity to join the forest department as a Forest Ranger in the pre-revised Pay scale of 9300-34800 with Grade Pay 3600.

After the 7th pay commission order for the Madhya Pradesh state employees, the entry pay for the Forest Ranger become 36,200/- per month. The detailed pay structure displayed here for information.
