The GPSC has invited the application for the post of DSO (Deputy Section Officer) & Mamlatdar through an official advt. No. 55/2018-19.
The candidate needs to appear in the two-tier examination which will be organized conducted by the Gujarat Public Service Commission.

There is no personal interview for the post, hence final selection is based on the marks obtained in the main written examination.
GPSC Deputy Section Officer Salary
The selected candidate will get a fixed stipend amount of Rs 38,090/- for the period of five years. After that DSO and Mamlatdar will be placed in the level-7 pay scale Rs.39,600 - 1,26,600 of Gujarat 7th CPC pay matrix.

The above salary is representing the amount of pay at the present level of Basic pay and DA and allowances. The candidates who get selected for the post they will get the salary as per 7th CPC after 5 years of service, so the total pay may get the rise due to the increase in the rate of allowances.
Deputy Section Officer Job Profile
- He/she keeps all official work on the file records.
- He/she is the responsibility to initiate any work by making appropriate entry, writing a description and enclosing the required government orders on it.
- While initiating any job to higher authorities he/she may write his view on the matter.
If any need arises, the Deputy Section officer coordinates with the other Govt as well as the private organization.
- Keep the record of Files and correspondence made with Inter or Intra departmental communications.
Mamlatdar Job profile
The Tehsildar is known as Mamlatdar in the Gujarat State. So It has the almost same working profile as the Tehsildars in the other states.
