As we know that the Institute of Banking Personnel selection conducts recruitments, promotion, admission, assessments tests and registration for the mass level candidates on behalf of organizations.

By continuing the same, the IBPS organization has released the official recruitment notification for the Common Recruitment Process of Specialist officer (CRP SPL - VIII) for the following cadre in the 20 participating banks.

  • I.T. Officer
  • Agricultural Field Officer
  • Rajbhasha Adhikari
  • Law Officer
  • HR/Personnel Officer
  • Marketing Officer

Let's check the eligibility criteria for the IBPS CRP SPL-VIII recruitment examination.

Nationality

A candidate must be the citizen of one of the following Countries

  • India
  • Nepal
  • Bhutan
  • Tibetan Refugee (Who came to India before 01 January 1962)

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 30 Years

The Age of the applicant for the IBPS Specialist officer will be calculated from a reference date 01 November 2018.

Relaxation in the Age Limit

  • OBC: 3 Years
  • SC/ ST: 5 Years
  • Person With Disability: 10 Years
  • Ex-Serviceman: 5 Years

Minimum Qualification

As there are 6 posts in the IBPS specialist Officers 2018-19 vacancy examination hence the education qualification for individual post varies due to the nature of job and expertise required for the cadre in the bank. Let’s check each one by one:

IT Officer

4 Years Full-Time Engineering/ Technology or Post Graduate degree in one of the following stream:

  • Electronics
  • Electronics & Telecommunications
  • Electronics & Communication
  • Electronics & Instrumentation
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Applications
  • Information Technology

OR

  • Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

Agricultural Field Officer

Candidates must have passed the 4 years Graduation Degree course in one of the subjects listed here:

  • Agriculture Marketing & Cooperation
  • Agricultural Biotechnology
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Agriculture
  • Agriculture Business Management
  • Agro-Forestry
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Co-operation & Banking

Rajbhasha Adhikari

He/she must have Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level.

OR

Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree (graduation) level.

Law Officer

The law officer aspirants in the banking sector must have LLB degree and a registered advocate in the Bar Council.

HR/ Personnel Officer

Candidates applying for the Human Resource department post in the Banks must be a Graduate plus 2 years Degree or Diploma in the following subjects:

  • Personnel Management
  • Industrial Relations
  • Human Resource (HR)
  • Human Resource Development (HRD)
  • Social Work / Labour Law.

Marketing Officer

In the case of Marketing Officer Posts applicant must be a Graduate plus 2 years full-time qualification in the one of the following:

  • MMS (Marketing)
  • MBA (Marketing)
  • PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with specialization in Marketing

The cut-off date of acquiring above qualification for all the posts is 26 November 2018.

One candidate can apply for only one post. Multiple application will be rejected immediately.
