The Indian Telephone Industries has recently notified the recruitment for the post of Trainee Technical Assistant and the Assistant Executive Engineers after a very long time. This recruitment drive for the fresh engineers and diploma holders to work in the various government projects handled and executed by the ITI.

Should I Join ITI

Yes, if you don't have any job, it is better to join the Indian Telephone Company, they payment may not be at par with the other leading PSUs but still good for those who are still not employed.
The newly recruited engineers and diploma technical Trainees will be on two years long training and they would get a fixed amount of salary for these two years.

After completion of the Training, the Salary of each post would be

TTA Salary: Rupes 17500/- per month

AEE Salary: Rupees 35600/- per month

If you check the advertisement, even after completion of Training ITI Limited keeping the freshers on fixed term tenure period of 3 years and thereafter they may keep or terminate as per the requirement of Company.

If the financial performance of Company gets better in due course, the chances of getting appointed on a permanent payroll would get increased. As the Company is getting various telecom project from well-established companies and also it is playing a key role in Digital India & Make in India, so chances of performance upswing are higher.

So I would suggest joining the company and in parallel try for some Navaratna/ Maharatna/ State Government/ Central Govt jobs along with the work at ITI.
