Recently the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited issued the notification for the civil and electrical engineering graduate to work as a Junior Telecom Officer in the Miniratna Category I Company. As the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited uses the GATE scorecard for the selection of fresh engineering graduate. So candidate needs to get a decent score in GATE to get a post in the company.

I would suggest those who are preparing for the GATE exam to get a job in the PSU, you should target the Maharatna Navartntna Company and the company who are financially strong (those have implemented the 3rd PRC for the executives).

Currently, I don't have the list for these Public Sector Enterprises but will update in this forum soon.

You can give the least priority to the MTNL, BBNL, & BSNL. The reason for the same is that they offer Class 2 cadre to engineer whereas most PSUs appoint in the Group A post.

The other reason is that they are in huge losses so next pay revision isn't possible for the next few years due to the strict policy decision by the Government of India.

There is plenty of vacancy for the Civil and Electrical Engineers are in the government sector so the candidates can easily find a better alternative where they can get comparatively pay, promotion and position. Even the state government PSUs like Electricity Generation, distribution and transmission Companies pay decent CTC with a Class-I position at Assistant Engineer position. So one needs to be vigilant while finding the job after Engineering.
