As per the Department of Public Enterprises, there are a total of 180 CPSEs in India as of 15 March 2019.
The PSU's employee pay revision depends on the financial viability of the company.
So we can see three types of pay patterns in the above 180 PSUs. There are many public sector units which still following the Pay Criteria recommended by the 1st PRC.
Only a handful of Government Sector Companies manages to implement the 3rd Pay Revision Committee recommendations for the employees.
Due to the above reason, the formula for the calculation of Leave Encashment among PSUs will vary.
