The electronics engineer those who get selected for the BSNL JTO post through GATE, they would be thinking about the shift duty.

In many PSUs, engineering graduate has to work on shift duty.

In the case of BSNL, most of B.E./B.Tech graduates have to work in the general duty only, which starts from the morning at 9:30 AM to the evening at 6:00 PM.

Only a handful of Engineers who posted in the data centers, core network (Mobile, Broadband, Transmission) monitoring locations, work in the shift duty.

If you are applying for the BSNL Electrical and Civil wing JTO, then you will be working on the general duty.
