The Civil and Mechanical Engineers who belong to Jharkhand State and if they want to serve to people of Jharkhand, the JPSC is offering the perfect opportunity for these Engineering Graduates.

In order to become an Assistant Engineer (AE) in the Urban Development & Housing Department Jharkhand State, one needs to go through the recruitment process laid down by the State Public Service Commission.

The JPSC Assistant Engineer selection process is a three-tier type, means a candidate has to appear in the three phases of examination.

Selection Process

Part-I

Section -I

It contains the objective type 3 question papers of 200 Marks each. Means total marks for the Section-I exam are 600.

Objective Paper Pattern

Part A: General English

Part B: General Studies

Civil OR Mechanical Engg Paper-II 2 Hrs. 200

Section -II

Section -II is a conventionally written exam which will have questions only from the profession course i.e. from engineering syllabus. The answer copy section-II exam will get checked only for those who would secure minimum qualifying marks in the Section-I.

Conventional Paper Pattern

The candidate has to appear in the two question paper of 200 Marks each. The total number of marks for the section-II papers are 400.

So JPSC Engineering exam part-I will carry 1,000 marks.

Written Exam Pattern

 

Part-II: Personal Interview

Those who qualify the Jharkhand Public Service Commission section I & II exam will get chance to appear for the personal interview round. This part will carry 200 marks.

Final Selection

The final merit list is based on the total marks obtained in the JPSC Written exam and the personality test. The top candidate will get selected on the basis of performance in the examination.
